AbstractThere are many experiments on cosmic rays located in different countries; sometimes they use muon telescopes assembled by students and teachers of secondary schools, with a clear added value from the educational pointof view. In Italy, one of them, is located at High School “E. Fermi” in Catanzaro, which is involved in the Extreme Energy Events (EEE) project, a national project carried out by a collaboration of several research institutes. This paper reports about one of the educational activities carried out with the students of high school “E. Fermi”, related to the concept of “noise” affecting scientific experiments
